Guitarmaking

I began building guitars in 1991 because of a too expensive wish. I wanted to own a 'Dobro', but I couldn't even afford to buy an imitation. Building one myself seemed to be the best option. In the meanwhile I have been building guitars on a professional basis since 1995. I make 'steelstring guitars', 'acoustic bass guitars' and 'resonator guitars ('Dobro's')'.

As a fingerpicking-style blues guitarist I am aware of the guitarplayers need for an instrument that makes certain playing techniques possible. My personal preference goes to a smaller, almost parlour sized guitar with a slightly wider neck. Besides that, I prefer a restrained and functional execution of the guitar.

Every guitarist has his or her own preferences and ideas about playability and aesthetics of a guitar. That is something to consider. Because of that consideration I offer the three different types of guitars in five different sizes with numerous discussable variations. For example:
The choice of wood, fingerboard and headstock inlay, a cutaway or none, neck width, the hardware, etc.

I only make new guitars on request. These guitars are built in the model and with the variations and wishes the customer has discussed with me. The advantage for the customer is that he or she can add a lot of aesthetical ideas. In the end, this results in an absolute unique and personal instrument.
