Repairs
A guitar is an article of use. Articles of use will wear and sometimes accidents occur. Headstocks and necks can break. Sides, backs and tops can be damaged and frets and machineheads wear out.
Wood is and will always stay a hygroscopic material. That means : it will take moisture and will loose moisture. That process will never stop, although older wood may get less sensitive to moisture. Anyway, too much drought or a very fast change in relative humidity can lead to cracks in the wood.
Not everything can be repaired, but a lot of damage can. It is important to repair damage and wear out to prevent further damage. I am quite experienced in repairing guitars. I feel that prices for repairs should be kept within a reasonable range. A price quotation for a repair or maintenance of a guitar is always free of charge.
